Angel Tate Begger

Tate James Begger, known better by family and friends as Taterbug, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma a week after his sixth birthday. He underwent 14 months of treatment and due to complications from his treatment he earned his wings on July 8, 2009. There is a special place in our hearts for Tate’s nurses and doctors and other individuals for their endless dedication, love and support during his time in Denver. He enjoyed scaring them with his creepy crawlers and rubber snakes, silly string and whoopee cushions. The staff at the Children’s Hospital became a part our family. Our family so appreciates your honoring Tate at the Miracle Party 2009 because to us he was just that - a miracle. Through Tate’s suffering, he unlocked the goodness and love in people’s hearts. People dropped their differences and came together. Priorities became properly aligned. People gave from their hearts. Parents hugged their children tighter. Friends and family grew closer. By accomplishing all of this in 7 short but full years, Tate Begger was indeed a miracle. We really miss him and we have been forever changed.
