Miracle Party 2009 is a night to remember those we have lost, and those who are still fighting Childhood Cancer.  On September 12, 2009 these children and their families will get to forget cancer, if only for a night and celebrate a Miracle. 

How The Miracle Party Began

The Miracle 2008 party began in June 2007 when Kennedy was diagnosed with cancer. Having faith that her chemo treatments would be a success and Kennedy would be a survivor, I said to Mary Anne, Jimmy's mom, "We are having the BIGGEST END OF CHEMO PARTY EVER!" At that time, I didn't realize there would be approximately 10 families that would become close friends that would also be finishing their treatments all around the same time!

This idea grew to encompass even more—the party was the perfect opportunity to celebrate the first ever National Childhood Cancer Awareness Day, bringing awareness of childhood cancer to the Denver area and holding a fund raising event to help fight against childhood cancer.

So, the "End of Chemo for Kennedy Party" turned into a Miracle 2008 Celebration not only for our friends in active treatment and those in remission, but also for our angel friends who are no longer here, but watch over us in heaven and for those children who have yet to be diagnosed.
