Brandan was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia with a translocation in May 2007 when he was 10 months old. He arrived at Children's very ill and received over 100 transfusions during the treatments he received. Brandan endured six rounds of intensive chemo along with six rounds of treatment in his spinal fluid. He fought through three respiratory arrests and a cardiac arrest while battling at least nine life threatening infections. His smile, laughter, positive outlook, strong will, encouraging attitude, and powerful hugs lift us up day after day. Brandan is our true little superhero, who is swift and strong from the inside out.
